Wild horses fish springs Nevada.
Fried Liver Wash, just before the first Park closure that disallowed cars, and turned around at where the wash left the Hexie Mountains for the Pinto Basin. This is the base of the rocks right there, and we were delighted to find creosote bush, brittlebush and (I think) mallow all blooming from the same rock.

Tom Brody If you want to know about Native Americans who are still living in SoCal, then you might enjoy acquiring knowledge about the present-day Kumeyaay. You can get info about Kumeyaay from visitor's center at MISSION TRAILS REGIONAL PARK in San Diego. I have been to this park a half-dozen times. They told me that, if you want, you can take lessons in speaking Kumeyaay. At Laguna Mountain to the east of San Diego (on Sunrise Highway) there are three gift shops/ nature centers, where you can get bits of info about Kumeyaay. Please see my review on Amazon of the book, KUMEYAAY ETHNOBOTANY. https://www.amazon.com/.../ref=cm_cr_dp_d_show_all_btm...

Places
Tom Brody. Red Rock Canyon near Ridgecrest. Will be returning there next week. Also, to Mesquite Dunes (that holiest of holy places). Wait a minute, I am not sure that I spelled Techappi-hatchippi Pass correctly. I need to check a map. Tehchappipatti Pass.
Anza Borrego Desert State Park. I took another photograph (see, below) from about the same location, and it reveals that the mountains take the form of NINA SIMONE.
